Questions You Need To Ask To Protect Yourself and Guarantee a Move Free Of Unpleasant Surprises!

Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for considering BigTruckMovers.com to service you in your upcoming relocation. I have been in the moving business for more than 35 years and most of the time, when I answer the telephone or check my e-mail, the first question I get is this:

How much is my move going to cost me? and what is your hourly rate?

After much reflection about those questions, I believe those are the wrong questions when you are preparing to move!

Critical Questions You Need To Ask To Protect Yourself and Quarantee a Move Free Of Unpleasant Surprises!

I think better questions are:

Q) How can I be sure that all my furniture will arrive safe and scratch-free to the new location?

A) No one can predict that nothing bad is going to happen, no one has a crystal ball, but we will do anything possible to minimize the risk and make your move stress-free.

Q) Who is the moving crew? Are they honest and experienced? Can they work in an organized system?

A) I personally hire each member of my crew. They have been with me for years and they are honest, punctual, and have a good work ethic.

Q) How can I determine if consumers have had problems with a prospective mover?

A) You should call the Better Business Bureau. Their telephone number is 202-393-8000

In 35 years of operation, we have only had one complaint registered with the BBB, which is already off the record. There are also online reviews available, located on Yelp and Angie’s List.

Q) Does the truck have the proper equipment?

A) Our truck has 3 dollies, 2 hand trucks, security straps, heavy duty pads, ropes, all the tools to work on your particular job, and special equipment for items such appliances etc.

Q) Who will handle any "situation" that might arise during the move?

A) Any concern during the move can be addressed directly with the owner of the moving company, Rafael, who is present at every move. We can’t afford to leave a dissatisfied customer.weI live from referrals and we want you to refer your friends and family to Big Truck Movers.

Q) Does your company require full payment before unloading?

A) No, we do not.

Q) Does your company require a deposit to “hold” a moving date?

A) No. I feel moving is a relationship where trust is important and a client should feel free to change his/her mind for any reason, any time.

Q) Does the company disassemble and re-assemble your furniture? Do they offer to disconnect and re-connect your major appliances?

A) Yes. In order to provide your furniture with the best possible care, our staff will disassemble and reassemble large pieces of furniture or antiques.

Now coming back to the original question about the price.

We are a logical alternative to a large moving company and their equally large prices. We do no raise our prices during the peak season. You get the same low affordable prices all year -around.

We do not  charge extra, and no hidden charges ever.

Your final cost will be determinated by the factors indicated below. Please call us and we will give you an estimate of your final cost.

.

The factors that affect the price of a move are:

1) Do you live in a house or apartment?

2) Are there stairs or an elevator?

3) What is the distance to elevator?

4) How close can the truck be parked from the main entrance?

5) How many pieces of furniture do you have?

6) How many boxes and miscellaneous items are there?

7) How well have you packed?

8) Are there any loose small items, such as garden furniture or tools, items in a shed etc.?

9) What is the distance to the new place?

10) What are predicted weather and traffic conditions that particular day?

11) What is the parking distance to unload, stairs/elevators of the new residence?

Why Should You Move With Big Truck Movers?

One of the biggest advantages of using my moving services versus my competitors is that I do not charge extra for the following: stairs, assembling and disassembling and of basic furniture, fuel and mileage charge, etc. I will not require the payment in advance like many moving companies. Instead,

I will unload all the furniture and place everything where you want. If anything has to be moved again, we will do it and we will stay until you are satisfied, then I will ask for payment.

Some moving companies require full payment before unloading the first piece of furniture, and customers do not have the assurance that their furniture has not been impacted during the move. If a customer is forced to pay in advance, you won’t be able to inspect the furniture for any damage.

Even worse some moving companies will arrive to their destination, and then they will ask for a higher price than the original estimate.

If you don’t pay they will refuse to unload the truck.

Another distinction is that I personally work on every moving job and I can take care of any situation that may arise on your move. I had been in business for over 35 years in the Washington Metropolitan Area.

Again, it will be my privilege to provide you with the best service to facilitate and ensure an easy and successful move. We wholeheartedly wish you the best of luck in your business and look forward to speaking with you soon.

Sincerely yours,

Rafael Chapeton
